Rudolstadt Folk Festival

delighted about the news that Murray & Falkenau will be returning to Rudolstadt Folk Festival this year.
Looking forward! …. also starting recording with five-string banjo wizard Lena Ullman this week; exciting!

Session tonight

Looking forward to tunes tonight at Padraicin’s in Furbo with Johnny Connolly, melodeon and Steve Sweeney accordion, tin whistle. Start 9.30pm.

Spiddal Gathering

Had some lovely tunes last weekend in Spiddal, part of the Spiddal Gathering, a nice, informal get-together of trad musicians. Thanks everybody visiting! The Saturday night session in the Droighnean Donn was great craic. We went out again Sunday evening, a mighty gang of musicians playing, and little son David had a great time hopping around to the music :- The weather has been very November, rainy day after rainy day. world news is worrying…keeping positive!

Session tonight in Padraicin’s / Furbo with Johnny Connolly on melodeon and Steve Sweeney on accordion and tin whistle. Great escape on a wild west coast night!

Session with Ged Foley and Steve Sweeney

 Ged Foley (ex-Patrick Street, Battlefield Band, Celtic Fiddle Festival, many famous more), will join Steve Sweeney and myself this Friday, 23 October, in Padraicin’s / Furbo. From 9.30… always a treat; he is such a brilliant guitarist and there is bound to be a song or two!
