Finally able to update again

Hi all, thanks so much for visiting. For the last few weeks (months, hhmm) I haven’t been able to update my website and hadn’t had much of a chance to look into the glitches too (finishing my PhD research into music in Galway City made time pretty tight). Finally and thankfully my amazing bro’ Tilli has just spent a good few hours sorting the issues out. Thank you Tilli! Here is a little clip from a recent concert in Ballindereen, playing before Jim Rooney, Sean Keane, Mick Daly and Frank Hall, which was great fun. Seán O’Malley on uilleann pipes, Fintan O’ Malley on guitar.

MÁM and Sessions

Went to see MÁM at the Blackbox in Galway tonight – and the breathing, the weaving, the sheer energy is still keeping me in a semi-hypnotic state! (Cormac Begley’s wonderful concertina had a lot to do with it, too 🙂 … Looking forward to guesting with Ger Clancy and Kevin Hough tomorrow afternoon in Monroe’s in Galway – fast becoming a legendary weekly session!
More tunes then tomorrow night in Cois Cuain, in Spiddal, from 9.30pm in with James O Donoghue.

Fab tunes in Monroes!

What a session last Friday in Monroe’s, the tunes were flying, the craic was mighty and the pizza superb! Thanks to Gary Monroe et al!

with Kevin Hough, Geraldine Clancy, Mirella Murray, Sharon Shannon, Donal Lunny, Gerry Hanley, Steph Geremiah, Padraig Walsh, Sandra Joyce, Garry Monroe
